Be the first to see four new important American artworks from the collection of Amy and Mitchell Kaneff. Enjoy light refreshments and hear and hear from the collector himself with a Q&A presentation with donor and Arkay Packaging CEO, Mitchell Kaneff.
Together, the new works: Lawrence Beck’s photograph Sterling Forest water Lily I, two untitled paintings by Daniel Hesidence and Robert Mars, and the painting Homage to Isaac Hayes by Chris Martin, enhance the Taubman Museum of Art’s contemporary American collection, and recall major artistic trends that developed in the previous century—Abstract Expressionism (Daniel Hesidence), Hard-edge abstraction (Chris Martin), Pop art (Robert Mars), and largescale color photography.
